Police to restart recruiting?

published: October 18th, 2010

Since the coalition government announced big cutbacks, almost all forces started to suspend recruitment campaigns. I will refrain (almost) from commenting about the hundreds of people who had they doen a course would have by now been in the job. However, what is certain is that competition will now become even more fierce. S.yorks police are doing a special dyslexic assessment centre in early december at ryton near coventry. If you are doing that, or your force is showing the green shoots of starting assessments again, I would strongly suggest that you really prepare hard. Places in the police were always hard to get, they have just becoem even harder!

Bristol course for Avon and Somerset Police

published: August 24th, 2010

For those applying to A and S, you may be interested in the above date. We have heard rumours that A and S are really going to be tough in these assessments, as they are looking to cut down on the numbers they are recruiting. Now is a great time to make sure that you do not just pass the assessment, but that you get a high score to lessen the risk of being filtered out.

Gwent Assessments

published: August 19th, 2010

Just an update. The St.Mellons course is now confirmed to go ahead, and will be great timing for the assessments in September, with a fair bit of inside information that someone has been sharing with us! As of today, we only now have a couple of places left, so book, or if in doubt call us on the out of hours number on 07754673540.

If you are still undecided about attending, have a look at the below comments:

Afternoon John,
Just thought I would send you an E-mail to thank you and your colleagues so much for the course held at Southampton on Saturday 26/6/10. The information gained on the day proved so valuable at my assessment centre three weeks later!
I have just had my results back and passed with 68%, so am very pleased indeed. I am sure that without taking part in the Talking Blues Course, I would not have passed, even after reading the many books available on the recruitment process.
On the day, I felt much more confident and felt I was much more prepared than many of the other candidates there, who appeared to struggle much more with the role plays and interview.
Thank you once again and I will not hesitate to recommend the course to anyone in the future.
Best Regards

” Afternoon John,

Just thought I would send you an E-mail to thank you and your colleagues so much for the course held at XX on XX. The information gained on the day proved so valuable at my assessment centre three weeks later!

Remember, we do not ask for the course fee balance until the end of the day, and if you do not feel it was worth it, then do not pay us, that is how confident we are that you will be impressed with the course.

How confident are you that you will pass?

Cardiff Course August 22nd 2010

published: August 15th, 2010

We still have four places left for the Cardiff course on August 22nd at the St.Mellons Hotel in cardiff. If you have an assessment coming up in that patr of the world, we promise you tha the course will give you a huge advantage. Remeber as well that it is not just a matter of passing the assessment centre. Chances are that the forces there will cherry pick the top scores at assessment to offer places to first. Being offered a place first is important. Following the Comprehensive Spending Review in october, there is a good chance that later intakes will be put on hold. So, even if you are confident you would pass, are you confident that you will rank high enough?

On a different note, had a great course in Leeds yesterday (14th August). Good bunch of guys and girls, and all of them did fine, although all needed a few tweaks. That is the whole point of the course naturally!

To those lucky few who have assessments coming up, remember that competition will be evn more fierce. Get revising!
