Our Course Manual

One of the reasons Talking Blues is so successful is our course manual. This book is the study guide to the course, and each student is issued one on the day.

It is a professionally printed and finished document, and contains, amongst other things:

  • Fourteen full role plays, together with  role actor instructions and marking guides. This means that even after the course has finished, you have a comprehensive resource to practice your role plays on.
  • Two full specimen written exercises, together with specimen answers. There are also some general notes on the proposals section of the assessment day.
  • An explanatory section on interview technique, and suggestions on generating answers. The book also contains a large number of potential interview questions for those of you who will undertake a "In Force interview" in addition to your assessment day one. (See "Local Interview" on the left hand sidebar.)
  • Please note that our competitors simply hand out a ring binder with at best three or four photocopied exercises. Often these exercises will have been copied or poached from originals (usually ours!) Our manual exercises are written exclusively by us.
